Paramount Convalescent Hospital
If you are looking for a rehab nursing facility for a family member, this is the place to be! Their physical therapy team is awesome! They truly care for their patients. I’ve been to other nursing facilities and nothing tops Paramount! They work as a team to provided great care for their patients. Facility smells very good and it’s very clean. They are a 5 facility. I highly recommend this place. My mom was discharged from here about 1 month ago and might need rehab and she already informed her doctor that she does not want to go anywhere else but Paramount Convalescent!
This is an absolutely wonderful facility. They take care of their patients and the family. They updated us on the condition of our family member on a regular basis. Those involved in treatment (nurse, physical therapist, social services coordinator) met with us in a contactless setting and answered our questions. When we were dealing with insurance issues they stepped in to provide guidance. The staff was patient in helping us understand areas where we were questioning coverage decisions. They assisted us in finding a good board and care upon release. Then, when most facilities would end the relationship, they followed up to coordinate getting a hospital bed, physicial therapy and physician-nurse on-site visits. You can not go wrong with this hospital.
My aunt was just admitted last Friday to Paramount Convalescent Hospital. She is very happy to be near her family. Lauren made this possible by acting quickly and arranging her transfer from another facility. My aunt likes her new accommodations and is enjoying her new roommate. She is happy to be in a Spanish friendly facility as opposed to the previous one. Thank you so much Lauren for making this transfer possible!
This place was recommended by MLK Hospital for my husband’s physical therapy… me being a mother hen … I did a little research about this place….. Let me just say…. after talking with Lauren (in admissions)….I felt very comfortable in leaving my husband in their care … Bobby (is over physical therapy) ….he keeps me updated with my husband’s process… The nursing staff is so very professional, caring and patient my husband… the nursing staff, is always willing to answer any and all questions day or night. …. Also if you have a iPhone…Marie is more then willing to connect you, with a face time call. This nursing home is very clean and up kept. Just judging from the outside, you know it’s a very nice place. Unlike many others. Placing your love one here … is the next best thing, other than having them home. Lastly if I could give them more then 5 stars …. I would. HERO’S DO WORK HERE
Placing my father in a nursing home has been one of THE hardest decisions my family has had to make. I am sooo glad we discovered Paramount Convalescent Hospital. From day one the entire staff, especially Lauren Magallon, the Director of the Hospital, has made the transition a pleasurable one. Each staff member has made my father feel welcomed and accepted…and THAT was very important to our family. Covid has put a wrench in things but despite of Covid we could not be more pleased that my father is in a caring, supportive (to him AND to us) and attentive environment. Every question we have had has been answered to our satisfaction even when asked three or four times. We can’t wait for things to “get normal”….for EVERYONE!!
Paramount Convalescent was my brother’s fourth skilled nursing stay, and they are the best by far, starting with their open communication with me on day one when I was fed up with the dishonesty at three previous (two of them Kindred “one star”) facilities and stated clearly my issues and wishes. Lauren, Bobby, and the Director Spencer talked with me for 25 minutes. Guess what? They kept their promise to provide honest services. Starting with Bobby and his staff in PT and OT, they didn’t miss one appointment and stuck with my brother when he was dizzy and kept working with him (when other facilities: “He’s dizzy, too bad, check mark, done for the day, let’s bill the insurance company.”) My brother was happy with the care, Lupe in nursing, food, comfort of the bed, therapy, the employees dancing in the halls in the afternoon during his 80 day stay. Spencer must be a good boss because his employees are happy, efficient, hardworking, kind, and very helpful. They enjoy a village atmosphere there. I never had to call and complain about anything. No one dodged my calls (like other places). Esther did a great job with discharge planning. Paramount Convalescent told the refreshing truth and kept their word. That’s my highest accolade. I am deeply appreciative for my brother’s progress at Paramount Convalescent.
My father was a patient for approximately 3 weeks and every aspect of his care was superb. The entire staff keep me and the family informed about every detail of his care daily. Visitation was different due to Covid but we were allowed contact less visits by way of seeing him through the front window which allowed us to see that he was doing well and improving. We had telephone conference calls and team meetings outside to discuss his care and progress. The entire treatment team showed great care and concern for my father and it was evident that they wanted to help him improve. The administrative staff assisted my family in providing services and recommendations for his aftercare to ensure he continues to receive the services he needs. The entire staff at Paramount Convalescent Hospital went above and beyond for my father and I’m grateful for their dedication to their patients.
